Layla Salek

Layla Salek is a native Texan, a practicing psychologist with a specialty in behavior, and a self-taught photographer in Houston of 15 years. Macro Photography was her first inspiration through the lens since she enjoys finding beauty in the smallest subjects; however, while traveling the world, she discovered a deep love of Street Photography – the interaction of human behavior and photography.

For Macro Photography, Layla uses a digital EOS 6D Cannon camera with a 100mm L Series Lens.  For Street Photography, Layla shoots with either a digital EOS 6D cannon with a 24-105mm L Series lens or a 1958 Rollieflex film camera.

Layla’s photography studio is located at The Silos off Sawyer St. Her pieces are on exhibition every 2nd Saturday and by appointment.    http://laylasalekphotography.com
